Athabasca 3491m First Ascent / Première ascension : Norman Collie, Hermann Woolley 1898 Hans Schwarz began climbing Mount Athabasca at 5 a.m., and reached the shoulder with the rising sun. After traversing the north ridge and descending, he arrived at the climbing shack and ran into a friend who assumed he was there to sign in. "I've already done it!" said Hans, who had reached the summit at 8 a.m. He climbed Wilcox Peak that afternoon.
